There are many difinitions of the meaning of fear. One can be positive, one can be negative. What is it that comes to mind when you think of the word ? One of Websters definitions is "anxious concern" another definition is "profound reverence". Both of these represent states of mind. And both have a profound effect on the foundation of our society because they effect the way individuals think and more importantly, how they act.

Recently, the air waves have been filled with American Citizens reaction to our Governments attempt to create health Care for all (most) of its Citizens. And what I have heard from these reports is not good. People reacting as though providing health care to those who can't afford it is somehow a bad thing. I agree with The Senator from South Carolina that we should not over burden the US budget with an uncontrolable amount of debt for this purpose. But I can not support a system that does not look out for the welfare of its people. This is immoral, unconstitutional and should not to be tolerated. It also runs against the grains of honor, respect and caring that are prevalent and natural in the universe. Humanity must not let fear, politics and money make decisions for us. We must find a basis on which to grow beyond the old value systems and reach decisions that will lift us all to higher levels. This is too important a decision to have the results based on mere fear factors.

Fear can paralyze the mind and can invoke destructive emotions. In this state, it serves no good for anyone . Humanity must understnd that this emotion  in it's negative state must be eliminated from our thoughts, our actions and our DNA. How much longer will we allow those who benefit from fear to control our thoughts and actions by invoking this reaction. We must think for ourselves. Providing health care to those who need it does not hurt the rich or the middle class. But it certainly hurts those who need it and can not get it. The insurance companies don't want the competion from the government, it might hurt their bottom line. The people do not want unlimited taxation for this, because this hurts them.  In some countries, it is against the law of the land to make a profit in the medical industry. Why hasn't America followed suit ? Health care should be a right for all legal citizens in the riches country in the world not merely a privillage. I ask is there any of you who would not help a member of your family who was in need of medical care and could not afford it ? If you are aware, you can not let some in the government tell you that we can't afford this. Of course we can. And vice verse, we should not allow the burden to be shouldered by the middle class in the form of total taxation to support the program. All must sacrifice and share in the solution.

A lot of the reaction to this issue is prejudiceness. Prejudiceness in all its forms is a natural extension of fear. But racial or enthnic prejudice is what threatens society. We are still basing decisions and forming attitudes according to the color of ones skin or the culture from which one comes. This is not a phenomena exclusive to America. Even though America has been a perpetrator of one of the most cruel and mean systems of racial prejudice the world has seen. All Americans should visit the Fredom Center in Cincinnati Ohio and experience the History of Black people in this country. Patrick Buchanan in his book " State Of Emergency" pins most of Americas social problems on Mexicans and Blacks. But he fails to mention with prominence Appalachian poor whites. Who share some of the same educational dificiencies and characteristics that he describes of Blacks and Mexicans. While some of his statements may be true, he offers no viable solutions to improve the conditions of these groups other than to suggest that we further restrict their growth by legislating laws that would continue to keep them in poverty. But this human characteristic does not stop here. What about Kosavo, Robert Mugabe, the Ku Klux Klan, The New Black Panthers the list goes on and on.

This kind of prejudice is brought about once again by fear. Fear injected into the consciousness of normal citizens. Created for economic gain and fueled by those who reap the benefits from our infighting. Our minds must be freed from such attititudes which instill hatred and misunderstanding. A free mind will understand that all of the people of the world share 99.9% of the same DNA. We are only .1% different. And that is no difference at all.  Fear that there is not enough  is irrational.   The need to feel superior is usually generated by low self esteem. If you have plenty, why do you need more ! Fear that you will not have enough. Enough of what ? This is ridiculus. There is plenty of everything. Especially the basics of life including food, shelter, clothing and medical care.

America must lead the way to true world peace. But if we insist on all governments being a capitalistic democracy then we miss the mark. All that is necessary is for the US to exhibit the highest form of civil rights, citizen consideration, intelligence and compassion. And I guarantee the rest of the world will follow. If the light of America shines to its highest, other nations will be compelled to follow suite. But forced entry results in strong resistence. Love is the way. Not passive Love, But aggressive Love. American attitude of Superiority must give way to the American attitude of strength, consideration and uderstanding. Fear must not dominate Humanity. We must cease looking for someone or something to blame for our, your or my situation. If someone is to blame, look in the mirror !

What if we took a different approach ? What if instead of giving a man a fish because he and his family are hungry, teach him how to fish. Humanity is neglecting to develop its most precious commodity and that is Human Capital. We must raise our conciousness to a higher level or we will not survive as a species. If we do not seek to include all people in the wealth of the world, those who have not will destroy it.

The greatest threat to humanity is not gobal warming, it is the desire for material wealth. This invokes greed, lust and other qualities that are characteristic of less evolved beings. The conciousness of being superior is filled with this sort of stuff. Nobody is superior to anyone else. Having more money in the bank or buying a bigger house does not make one superior to another. It only mean that you have more stuff. So if you have more money than your neighbor, why not help him ? What could it hurt? Oh I forgot he's not worthy of your help. After all, let him help himself. If he was as smart as you, he would have what you have. No, let  him stay where he is. As long as he is there, I can look down and feed my superiority complex. This is fearful thinking. Have we not learned anything in the millions of years of our existence ? What will it take? Higher ground is just a step ahead. If you raise the bottom, you strengthen the top. We are our brothers keeper, this is not religion,  it  is common sense.

LETS THINK UNITY
